Feng Shui Art

Since ancient times people have felt an indefinable quality in their environment. This invisible energetic power was given different names by many cultures. The sun, the moon, weather patterns, seasons, animal and plant life were observed through out the centuries, recorded by scholars, thus giving mankind a “textbook” of sorts for human survival. Different cultures and races divided these tried and true rules into categories called Aspects and placed them in circular or octagon shaped form similar to a mathematical formula within a wheel. There were 8 equal pie shaped sections and a center to this equation. Though religion was not connected to this science of Wind and Water, it soon became interwoven with spirit and the unknown.

Everything, it seems, inhabited this mysterious indefinable quality that was infused in nature. Religions gave this breath, air, energy, spirit and soul a name. “It” was known by prana to the Hindus, spiritus to Catholics, pneuma to Greeks, ruah to the Hebrews, and Chi to the Chinese. No matter what this quality is called, it has been determined when it is blocked in your home, nature or the heavens, all 9 Aspects wither and die.

There are many ways Chi can be restored and changed. There are 9 basic cures, such a using bright lights; installing objects that make sound; add living objects to interior and exterior spaces; include moving objects; stabilize places and situations with heavy objects; stimulate with electrically powered objects, such as sound systems in the Wealth area; bamboo flutes and color through décor, murals and artworks; and then there is always the 9th cure called others which are special and only given to you by a qualified Feng Shui Practitioner.

Artwork can be uplifting or depressing. Choosing the correct image is extremely important for your home or business to keep the energy or Chi flowing correctly. To use art images as enhancements or corrections in a space, it is crucial to find an artist who is trained in Feng Shui and understands the spiritual correlation of color, the 5 Elements of Water, Wood, Fire, Earth and Metal. Using paintings in a home, business or facility, out of the constructive order, such as a huge Water scene in a Fame or Fire zone can undo a person’s Reputation at home and the business world. The paintings have been created in a unique and sacred way, and are to be used specifically in the 9 areas of a dwelling, building or just one room to adjust the Chi or energy flow of that space.

USE THE COLORED ART BAGUA BELOW AS AN EXAMPLE OF WHERE TYPES OF PAINTINGS SHOULD BE PLACED IN A ROOM.

1. First ALIGN the blue-black color of the painting called The Crossing with the ARCHITECTUAL FRONT DOOR facing into your house, a business front entry or a single room such as a bedroom.

2. PLACE THE YELLOW CENTER over the center of your house, business or any room if this seems easier.

3. NOW all 9 Aspects should be aligned with your dwelling.

4. Choose a painting in accordance with the Guas or areas of life that need uplifting such as to promote, change or cure a certain aspect such as Partners, or Marriage.
